That is why you must include them in your diet, having a fish once in a week is very beneficial for the health. They will help you to maintain a healthy diet. There are so many varieties when it comes to fish; we have fresh water fish and saltwater fish. The fresh water fish are more enriched in flavor but are quite expensive than seawater fish. Trout is one of the tastiest freshwater fish; they are very famous because of their ability to swim against the flow of water. They are expensive but there taste will make you forget the price.
Today we will learn the recipe to grill trout, it is simple recipe but I promise you will the astonished with its taste. As trout itself is very tasty, it does not require any marinate or special sauce to increase its flavour.
The best way to enjoy trout is eating your catched trout along the river, but it’s difficult to do this so often. You can also grill them at home and enjoy the taste. First of all, go to the supermarket and buy the ingredients. You will need a large whole trout that will weigh approximately two kilo gram, fresh and cleaned, then red onions, two large lemons, bunch of parsley, some basil leaves, a small bunch of chives a stem of leek, a garlic bulb, extra virgin olive oil, a bottle of favorite soda or beer, salt and pepper.
Once you have brought all of these ingredients, start the gas grill if you want to cook straight away. Make sure that the trout is fresh and at room temperature. Now check for the gas supply of natural gas or if you have a propane tank, make sure it has enough propane for the whole cooking process. Now turn on the knobs of gas and light the fire with the help of lighter. Once this is, done make sure to set the gas grill few inches apart from the flame, but must be on a direct heat. Now clean the grates and apply very little amount of oil on them. Let the grates of the grill the heated on a high heat for about ten minutes.
While your gas grill is getting ready, prepare your fish, cut the onions, lemon and leek in slices and place them under the belly of the trout. Score the fish and drizzle very little amount of extra virgin olive oil on the skin of the trout. Season the vegetables in the belly and the skin with salt and pepper. Now add chives, parsley and basil leaves in the belly of the fish. Place the fish on best gas grills under a medium flame and let it cook for about ten minutes on each side. Meanwhile, add butter in a bowl along with chopped parsley, red onions and two cloves of garlic. Mix them properly, stuff some of them in the belly, and then brush some of them on the both sides of the trout.
